Program Objectives
This workshop covers the ongoing, nonverbal dialog of parent-infant communication.
Throughout the meetings, parents will observe parent-infant interactions, gain knowledge that will help them to better understand their babies and the signals that they give them. We concentrate on the physical reactions that arise as a result of the babies’ behaviors. Parents will learn a new approach to observe their babies and understand their worlds.
Also, we concentrate on the physical reactions that arise as a result of the babies' behaviors.
In our meetings, parents will be introduced with psychological concepts and in particular, Parental Embodied Mentalizing (Shai & Belsky, 2011). They will learn the different movement qualities that build the language of movement, dance and move together with their babies, alone and together as a group and will share parenting experiences with each other.
