Stipulations For Use


PEMworks™ is excited to share ideas with academics, researchers, and clinicians. In order to ensure that any promotion of our work remains of the highest standards, we have the following stipulations:


DISSEMINATION

  • The name PEMworks™ is trademarked. This no use clause stipulates that any dissemination of PEMworks™ including training, research, grant applications and materials requires written permission from PEMworks™.

  • PEMworks™ materials cannot be altered without written permission from PEMworks™.  

  • Any individual or program that use PEMworks™ materials, cannot include terms such as ‘PEM informed’ or ‘influenced by PEM’ to describe the program.

  • Only certified PEMworks™ trainers are permitted to teach, train, or present PEMworks™ materials. Any presentation of work that has involves PEMworks™ materials must receive written consent to use from PEMworks™.  


RESEARCH

We want to promote high-quality innovative research examining the effectiveness of tools, measures, services, and methods offered by PEMworks™. We welcome collaborations and working together with professionals so that together we can continue to enhance the wellbeing of children and their families throughout the world.  

To ensure the integrity of and adherence to PEMworks’™ services, we ask that:    

Any individual or team planning to include any of PEMworks™ programmes, methods, instruments, or models in their research must contact PEMworks™ to and get a signed approval to proceed with the research.  Approval to conduct such research will be dependent on meeting the criteria of confidentiality, reliable administration and coding, and signed consent forms.

Please note that PEMworks™ can provide supervision, consultation, and coding for research studies. Please contact us for enquiries and refer to ‘PEMworks™ Research’ for further information (links to appropriate pages)   


CLINICAL

PEMA is an evidence-based clinical assessment tool used to identify risk and protective factors in both high risk and low risk clinical samples.  

All individuals and departments using PEMA must receive appropriate training and supervision from one of our certified trainers.

  • Clinicians using PEMA must attend the 3.5-day PEMA Intensive training and successfully achieve 80% reliability following participation in the 12-week PEMA Reflective Practice Group, in order to license use of PEMA for two years.

  • Biennial re-certification, consisting of reliably scoring a brief PEMA practice set supplied by PEMworks™, is required for ongoing licensing. Click here for upcoming PEM training dates and links for re-licensing.

  • Individuals and departments cannot provide or supervise PEMA clinical work without written consent from PEMworks™.

  • PEMworks™ provides and facilitates reflective groups for individuals or teams using PEMA. We do not supervise clinicians and health professions, and PEMworks™ is not accountable for clinical case management.
